The inspiration for and foundation of Kinship Village is the Indigenous Worldview. Also referred to as the Kinship Worldview or Kinview. While there is a healthy community of proponents of the concept there has been little attention given to this movement in the mainstream. We believe it’s critical to the survival of humankind that these precepts be adopted by society at large. We are dedicated to spreading this critical message.
Wahinkpe Topa (Four Arrows), also known as Dr. Don Trent Jacobs, is an internationally recognized author and educator whose work explores Indigenous worldview and its relevance for education, leadership, and global transformation. He has written 24 books and numerous scholarly articles advancing relational, kincentric understandings of learning and human development. We have a page dedicated to his work linked here.
